Thanks for all the comments Gang. I appreciate them.
A mile stone (or should I say a millstone.) of sorts today.
Frame work on the Port side is completed.
I did the final install on the new chine.
Bedded with 3M 5200 and fastened with all new silicone bronze screws and bolts.
Just the proper amount of "Splooge".
You have to use Laquer thinner or Xyletol to clean up the 5200. It sticks to everything and anything.
I used white 5200 as it was what I had on hand. It does take paint so when we are done planking the sides and spray the interior of the hull you won't see it.
I will use Mahogany colored for the bottom planks.
To do all this by myself took one tube of 5200 and 4 hours of time.
I could have used some help wrangling that long, heavy chine piece into place but managed it.
If I can walk tomorrow I will start on the inner plywood step.....
Thanks for stopping by.
Keep on keeping on....
Torchie

55 and sunny here today. 39 and snow forecast for tomorrow.
Pics tell the story. First piece of Marine grade inner plywood. I had to get down on the floor to mark this. It wasn't pretty.
Thanks for checking up on me.
Keep on keeping on.....

Cool, you might have to set up a Torchie Cam so we can keep an eye on you.

Don't give up, it's far too much fun once you can drive it.

That Torchie Cam idea is a beauty - we could all use the motivation these days! Although I'm afraid I'd feel inadequate just watching your ambition...
