Setting the bottom of the pan level with the bottom of the frame rail would eliminate some...

Had a friend do a performance build on it and have had no issues.
I run a 318 360 starter on the Hot Heads adapter. The starter is a factory and looks like a mini.

Anything from 23.5 to 26 Would work 25 being ideal.
The 25 gives you a little more starter and oil filter room when using a Hot Heads 90 degree oil filter adapter.

The axle being too far out front is the same mistake I made with my 33 Pontiac, never did like the look.

I can tell from building the 63 Nova, I just got done with, that a Tremmec TR6060 is a really big tranny. I've heard the T56 tranny is smaller but, cannot confirm that personally.
